iPhone 2.0 and ActiveSync with WebsiteValet.com Hosted Exchange

Exchange Activesync only works with the iPhone 2.0+ software installed on your iPhone, iPhone 3G, or iPod touch. The iPhone 3G comes with the iPhone 2.0+ software. The original iPhone and some iPod touch devices will need to be upgraded to the iPhone 2.0+ software before you can use Exchange Activesync.
  1. To add an Exchange account to your iPhone or iPod touch, tap the Settings icon from the home screen, choose Mail, Contacts, Calendars, then Add Account, then Microsoft Exchange. (You can configure only one Exchange account per device.)

  2. Enter your e-mail address in the Email box.
  3. Enter your Exchange username or Account ID in the Username box. Your Account ID is formatted like: Company.name (case sensitive).
  4. Enter your Exchange password in the Password box.
  5. Enter a description of this account in the Description box. Something like "My Exchange" or your e-mail address: name@domain.com.

    Click the Next button.
  6. Enter the server name activesync.myoutlookonline.com in the Server box.

    Click the Next button.
  7. The iPhone might now warn you that it could not validate your account. Ignore and click the Next button. You will now get a pop-up that asks you if you want to save although you may not be able to send or receive. Click Save.
  8. Make sure that Mail, Contacts and Calendars are turned ON. Click Save.

  9. Your Exchange account is now set up on your iPhone or iPod touch. DO NOT use iTunes to sync your mail, calendar and contacts. Your mail, calendar and contacts will be updated via "Push" through the cellular data network or your w-fi connection.
