POP3 and IMAP access to your WebsiteValet.com Exchange mailbox

E-mail clients, such as Eudora, Outlook Express, and Thunderbird can't access Exchange mailboxes via the default MAPI protocol created by Microsoft. Instead, they must access e-mail via POP3 or IMAP.

Note: POP3 access does not allow access to most features of Exchange. It only gives access to just receiving and sending e-mail. Your data will not be kept on the server, and therefore you cannot access your full mailbox from anywhere. You will also not be able to share your calendar, contacts, tasks, etc.

Note: IMAP access does not allow access to most features of Exchange. It only gives access to receiving and sending e-mail. Your sent and received messages do get saved on the server. You will not be able to share your calendar, contacts, tasks, etc.

Here is the information that you will need to setup a POP3 or IMAP client:
  • Incoming Server Name: inbound.websitevalet.com
(If set up, you can use inbound.yourname.com where you use your own domain.)
  • Outgoing Server Name: outbound.websitevalet.com
(If set up, you can use outbound.yourname.com where you use your own domain.)
  • Username or Account name: name@yourname.com
  • Incoming Port: 143 (For SSL connections: port 993)
  • Outgoing Port: 25 (For SSL connections: port 465)
Note: To enable outgoing e-mail, you need to tell your e-mail client software that the outgoing server requires authentication and that it is the same as the incoming server settings.

Note: If your ISP blocks port 25, you can alternatively set your e-mail client to communicate on port 587 to our SMTP server.
