I spent time over a week in January 2008 reviewing software for converting DVDs to iPod video format, or MP4 format. After trying a 1/2 a dozen pieces of software, I settled on PQ DVD to iPod Video Converter Suite. The PQ DVD software made the smallest files with the best quality of all the software I tried. It also converted every DVD I tried while some of the other software had problems with some of the DVDs I tested.
